Remote access to BMJ Best Practice

BMJ Best Practice is available to all RD&E staff via Non-Clinical Systems on Hub, without a login.

If you want to access BMJ Best Practice off-site or at home, you’ll need to log in with NHS OpenAthens, and the way you do this has changed slightly.

  1. Visit bestpractice.bmj.com and click ‘Log in‘.
  2. You will be presented with an ‘Access through your institution‘ button.

3. When selected, you will be asked to search for your institution. Please type and select ‘NHS in England’, and then log in using your OpenAthens username and password.

4. Click ‘continue‘ to link your OpenAthens account with your BMJ Best Practice personal account. You can use these personal account details to log in and access BMJ Best Practice anywhere.

If you have any problems, please contact the Library team.
